Home....a house where love lives

Happy Friday!!!! Hi all....I've been very challenged this week as my computer has been in the hands of the Geek Squad @ Best Buy.....it is running much better but I have been limited in access and time as I have been trying to work with the store to get everything up and running. So not only did I not have access to my photos, DS and computer....I have spent several evenings dealing with the problem.....Yay! I have my computer back and it seems to be running much faster....how much I depend on this thing!!!!!
So this layout was put together very quickly...just a couple of hours....so I feel like it's not quite done...but considering everything I am happy with it! I used Deja Views Home Collection stack...the papers are so pretty.
I titled this "Home....a house were love lives" because I went from being a SAHM living a very comfortable upper middle class lifestyle to a single working mom struggling to get by. This meant that Mcauley and I would have to move into a very modest rental property....We have been in this house for 3 years now. I am prayerful that I will be able to someday own my own home again....but I must say our home is so full of love....and that is so much more important than anything else!

My houses are from Zoobaloo...the 'smoke' is a flourish from Home Decor. The butterflies are stickers. The chipboard 'a' is from Heidi Grace.
Home is also cut from Home Decor as well as the larger flourish....the scallop mats are from A Child's Year....I have used both blue and white pearl paint to add some details.
The leaves are from Stamping and luckily I had some flowers left from the tute I made....the scallop border is from Home Accents.
My house is decorated for Halloween in this photo...the photo of the house and the pic of Mcauley and I were taken about the same time....that is why I chose these two photos.
I really love the sketch this week....and the other girls have come up with some gorgeous layouts...hop on over and check em' out....join in if you have the time...we'd love to see what you come up with.
Thanx so much for taking the time to stop by....I so appreciate all of you....your comments make my day!!!

  5. Oh I know what you mean, I am completely lost without my computer. EVERYTHING is on it (which is quite foolish on my part)
Your layout is beautiful. I know that is simple compared to your usual elaborate designs but it really works for this page.

  7. What a lovely house filled with love, Sandy. Both photos warm the heart. I love your scrap pages for the beauty each one holds within itself, detailing your lovely talent for creativity and your loving heart. Each one is very special and you always lay it out to tell a wonderful and endearing story. I totally understand about the dependency on our electronic devices - wow, how we ever lived without them. I will have to give the Geek Squad a thumbs up now. Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a beautiful weekend, girlfriend.

  14. Sandy - Amazing layout. If this was done quickly, I can't imagine what you would have done with it if you worked on it longer. I think you should leave it as is. Who would have known that Zoobaloo had houses? Not me! Thanks, now I know. Love the scallop border at the bottom, and the paper choices are beautiful!!
