Be Good..... to yours(elf)

Okay, we've all spent the past few weeks taking care of our loved ones and now it is time to take care of ourselves...something we probably all struggle with. So here is my tribute to that promise to myself. I wish this layout photographed better...these K&Co papers from the winter wonderland stack are really beautiful in person.

I decided to make this fun even though there is a sincere message in the layout to myself. So page one is a silly pic of me......with the title Be Good...cut from Blackletter. the snowflakes are a combo of A Child's Year and Winter Woodlands, trees and fence are from My World and red birds, holly, deer and sleigh are from Winter woodlands as well, the photo mat is from A Child's Year and the stars from Home Decor...I used my MS branch punch for the garland and some bling in the stars...the harness are tiny peals and the rope is some silver thread.
Page 2 continues with the message...to yourself....I thought it would be fun to use the parenthesis to accent the word elf for the season and my attire. the large flourish is from Blackletter.

some close-ups of page one....

close-ups of the deer and sleigh...

the fence, deer and red birds....Page one title...this is cut from the M's brand of metallic papers as are all the solid card stock embellies.
On page 2 the photo has the words....Body, Mind and Spirit...and in the right corner 'tis the season.
additional pics of page 2....
page 2 deer...flourish...trees...
page 2 up-close pic of fence and deer....
pic of page transition.....deer pulling sleigh......Hope you like it and thanx for stopping by during this busy holiday season....Hope you all had a fab Christmas and are looking forward to an amazing New Year!!!!

Layout For Shadow Box

This is a commissioned piece I did for a wedding picture, It will be in a shadow box. I loved the colors in her bouquet so used it as my accent color. I love these papers from K&Co.
I made my flowers from the flower cut from Home Accents....2 layers each in 3 different sizes. I love the flourish from Home Decor.

Forever and Adore are cut from Home Decor as well...I added ribbon to the bottom and the top.
This is one of the invitations from the wedding...the mat for it and the picture were cut from mats from A Child's Year card cut.

I added leaves from A Child's Year....a pin with some beads and a love charm, a few pearls and some stickles....I 'm very pleased with the outcome...thanx for stopping by during this busy time~

A Bit Of Christmas For The Little Ones.....

These are some trays I found on sale for 5 dollars at Michael's....I thought what a great thing to decorate with my cricut...Imagine that! I added alphas, numbers, shapes, colors and names to these for my Great Nieces and Nephew that are preschool age....
I will fill the pockets with books, play dough, puzzles, etc.....I think they are really fun and had to throw a bit of education in there!
I used layers and layers of Mod Podge so they would be wiped off easily.....this is a close up of Donny's.....Hope you are all having a fab Holiday Season....thanx for stopping by!

Naughty but Good at it

This layout is for my younger sis.....I do not have the photo I want to add yet...it will be similar to the photo of my older sis....I really love love love the Winter Wonderland papers from K&Co and could not wait for a chance to use them....The background paper is from that stack and all the others are card stock except for the metallic black I used for the thin circle which was cut with the circle cut from Plantin Schoolbook....I just placed a slightly smaller circle inside of a larger one to cut the thin outline. The font is from Blackletter.
I used the holly, snowflake and mat cuts from A Child's year....adding some bling for the berries and lots of stickles for some glitz~
My younger sis loves angels so I cut my paper in three places along the bottom and rolled it back. I added sheet music as the little angel gown. The wings are from Indie Art....I used the shadow cut and layered them. The face is a circle cut from Plantin and the hair is from Paper Doll Dress Up. I added some stars for the halos. Eyes were drawn with a pin and a bit of chalk for the rosy cheeks.
Another shot of the angel along with the flower I made......Of course more stickles!

The flower was made with the holly cut from A Child's Year. I cut four....added some chalking...layered them with pop dots to get the look I was after and added some gold bling to the center and more icicle stickles....I really like the way it came out and can't wait to add the pic!~Hope everyone is having a happy and safe holiday season...thanx for stopping by!

Okay 3's A Charm....Last Post For Today.....CD Photo Ornament

Last year I made everyone in the family a photo ornament with a CD.....how much more fun is this year going to be since I have my cricut!!! This one is for my older sis. I use one pic for the ornament....one side has a 5x7 photo, I used my centerpoint cut @ 4 3/4" with the Plantin circle cut for the photo. I added some holly from Stretch Your Imagination and of course stickles and pearl paints. The bells and top hanger were 1 piece. I cut the bells off and added them to the bottom, the photo does not do it justice....but I am too silly to wait til tomorrow for outside pics...LOL! All the papers are applied with scrap glue stick but the heavy embellishments....hanger, bells snowflake, bow are all attached with hot glue.
Once again I used Home Decor for the branch and 50 States for the birds. Some red ribbon, white fiber and a snowflake button.
I use 3 wallet size copies of the photo on the other side...b/w, color and sepia.... These are lined up across the bottom and then the excess trimmed off.
I cut the paper with the same Plantin circle cut I used for the large photo. I personalized this one with red birds....as I mentioned earlier my sis loves them.....I think I'm going to add her name and the date along the Christmas ribbon.....thanx for looking.....I'll post more as I get them done....the family loves the photo ornaments and I can do so much more personalizing this year....hope you like it!!!!!

Naughty or nice?*****Second Post Today******

This is a layout for my sister, another Christmas gift. I took this pic of her and played with it in photo impact....so much fun. I used a DCWV background paper from the rustic stack. She adores red birds so I cut these from my 50 States cart. I added some black paint to bring out the details, gold stickles for the beaks and a little pearl for the eyes. The large scalloped circle is cut from Stamping from some black glitter paper. I used the same paper to cut the title, it is from Blackletter. The grey branches are cut from Home Decor.
I again used my 50 States cart to cut the pinecones and needles. I added some distress stickles to accent the cones. The holly is from Stretch Your Imagination.
The snowflakes are all from A Child's Year. I cut 2 sizes and used one small one to accent the center of the large one....then some stickles for some glitz!
A couple of more close ups of the birds. I used white pearl paint to add bits of 'snow' around the layout.
Thanx for stopping by again.....love each and every comment.

Heaven Sent

These two beauties are my niece Codie and her daughter Carsyn, such lovelies....I snapped this pic on Thanksgiving. I Decided to make the photo b/w and add a bit of color to Carsyn's eyes and cheeks. I love how the photo turned out, they truly look Heaven Sent. The background paper is from the DCWV sweethearts stack. I used my new Stamping cart for the leaves, pink flowers, scalloped circle and title. Plantin for the little white flowers an Home Accents for the rose layers. I also added some delicate white ribbon, the bird cut from Indie are and some buttons, bling, and a few feathers.
The rose is cut 2 layers each of 4, 3 1/2 and 3 inches and then pop dotted together and scrunched and scrunched. I added some waterfall stickles to the edge of the petals.
This fun little flower was made with the paisley cut from Stretch Your Imagination cut at 1 inch the top layer and the shadow, I cut five petals for the flower and just added a button to the center....I really like the way they turned out.
Hope everyone is enjoying this busy season......thanx for stopping by!

Thank FULL 4 You

Full hearts, full house and full tummies....LOL...I am so full of thanks for my family!!!! For this layout I used a background paper by K&Co and the rest are just simple card stock. I used a Fiskars corner punch to punch brown card stock, added the gold behind and fastened my corners with these fun brads.
You know when I got my new Sweethearts cart the first thing I went for was the flower...I cut the layers in three sizes 1, 1 1/2 and 2 inches....I layered 2 of each for the large flower and then 1 of each for the smaller version and then scatted various 1 and 1 1/2 inch ones throughout the vine cut from Paper Doll Dress Up... I added some mini buttons, bling and a few xtra leaves from A Child's Year, I also used this cart for the mat, hat and turkey.
Sweethearts was also used for the marquee, flourish, and Thank You. I used Lyrical Letters for the 4 and FULL. I added some pearl paint to the title and flourish.
A few buttons and stickers.....
Thanx for dropping by...you know how much I appreciate you....have a fabulous day~

Two Posts Today....SOUS and Practical Scrappers

This layout is of my sweet son Morgan...he was in NICU at 10 days for over a week...it was a very scary time and he is a true miracle as are all children...a true gift from God. This layout is from another beautiful Aymee Gandy sketch. I did some paper tearing and distressing. The little peek a boo cuts reveal hints of my strong faith and there is an angel watching over at the top because I know there was one watching over him...and me as he fought for his little life. The clock is set at 12/17 Morgan's bday...he will soon be 17....It also has the signs of time passing with the carriage and the clock in opposing corners.
I got truly festive with this Practical Scrappers challenge....this week it was to sew on a project and I am once again blessed to be there guest designer. I stitched everywhere I could think of...all the mats all the ribbon and lace and some faux stitching on the little heart. It features a pic of Mcauley last Christmas Eve as he prepared his plate for Santa...he is such an enabler for his mom...LOL....details posted below on both layouts....please scroll down......
