You know when I got my new Sweethearts cart the first thing I went for was the flower...I cut the layers in three sizes 1, 1 1/2 and 2 inches....I layered 2 of each for the large flower and then 1 of each for the smaller version and then scatted various 1 and 1 1/2 inch ones throughout the vine cut from Paper Doll Dress Up... I added some mini buttons, bling and a few xtra leaves from A Child's Year, I also used this cart for the mat, hat and turkey.

Thank FULL 4 You
Full hearts, full house and full tummies....LOL...I am so full of thanks for my family!!!! For this layout I used a background paper by K&Co and the rest are just simple card stock. I used a Fiskars corner punch to punch brown card stock, added the gold behind and fastened my corners with these fun brads.

Two Posts Today....SOUS and Practical Scrappers
This layout is of my sweet son Morgan...he was in NICU at 10 days for over a week...it was a very scary time and he is a true miracle as are all children...a true gift from God. This layout is from another beautiful Aymee Gandy sketch. I did some paper tearing and distressing. The little peek a boo cuts reveal hints of my strong faith and there is an angel watching over at the top because I know there was one watching over him...and me as he fought for his little life. The clock is set at 12/17 Morgan's bday...he will soon be 17....It also has the signs of time passing with the carriage and the clock in opposing corners.
I got truly festive with this Practical Scrappers challenge....this week it was to sew on a project and I am once again blessed to be there guest designer. I stitched everywhere I could think of...all the mats all the ribbon and lace and some faux stitching on the little heart. It features a pic of Mcauley last Christmas Eve as he prepared his plate for Santa...he is such an enabler for his mom...LOL....details posted below on both layouts....please scroll down......
My Christmas tree is from Paper Doll Dress Up...I cut it in two sizes to add some pop...and of course pop dotted it together...some bling and ribbon to trim it.....and the toys under to finish it off of stickers from Jolee. I'm loving the sparkly branches I found at WM in the Christmas aisle.
Santa is a vintage image from the Graphics Fairy....I sewed it to three layers of green napkin to give it a quilted look....I love the delicate cut of Hope from my Home Decor......and how funny is Mcauley in his little hat....again from Jolee as are all the sticker embellies on this page.....
Ornaments cut from A Child's Year are embossed....painted with silver acrylic and trimmed with some MS cuts and a cricut heart from Plantin.....
Lovely red ribbon sewn onto black lace an lots of bling to boot......Hope you enjoyed these layouts.....Practical Scrappers, SOUS, and the Graphics Fairy can all be linked from my blog by buttons or blog links on my blog list....please visit each and see what fun is in store for you....come play along or download a free image.....thanx for stopping by!!!!

Acrylic Paint.....Practical Scrappers Challenge
Overwhelmed, honored, excited and touched...these are just some of the emotions I felt when Christine at Practical Scrappers asked if I would like to be a guest designer on their wonderful blog. This week the challenge was to use acrylic paints on a project....I really had fun and used my paints every where I could on this layout.
The picture is of my older sis just a few hours after she was born....It will be framed and I will give it to her as a Christmas gift. I used Plaid paints....Apple Barrel Bubble Gum and FolkArt Metallic Sequin Black. I distressed all the paper edges with the paints. Do you like the little vintage birth certificate? I used it as a background paper and added a little miniature version to the layout....I added my sister's info in my PhotoImpact program.

I love the way this flower turned out... It was created with the leaf in A Child's Year. I stretched the leaf cut in DS and cut 12 separate petals all the same size and then just put them together with pop dots. I added both paint colors...dry brushing the edges with the black and added stickles....The Prima in the center and the others on the page were all painted to match the layout. Stop by and see Kristine at Your Memories here for these wonderful Prima flowers...she is having a sale right now, all of her Bind It All products in stock are 40% off!!!!
These precious little leaves were cut with Lyrical Letters. The butterflies were made by cutting them from Indie Art from transparencies. I added the black outlines with permanent marker and then painted over the marker with pink. On the front I added some pearl paint and stickles....I will be using these lots more I am sure. The mat is a card cut from ACY with some pearl paint accents. The punch is MS....the doily punch.
Buttons and bling...you can never have to many of those......
The miniature birth certificate with a button, charm and little prima and the lace is from WM. I also added some black fiber tied around the flower.
Hope on over to Practical Scrappers to see all the fun projects created with paints....you wont be sorry...and visit Kristine for some wonderful scrappy deals....hope you liked it.....if you would be interested in a tutorial on the flower or butterflies let me know....I'm thinking of doing one on both.....Thanx again to Practical Scrappers for the honor of being a guest designer on their site....I truly am a practical scrapper so this was such a thrill for me.
Don't forget reveal day @ SOUS....scroll down for that post as well.....Thanx for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!!!
Keep Christmas In Your Heart*****SOUS*****
Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyday we kept the meaning of Christmas in our hearts? This is a picture of my two older boys many a Christmas ago....and it makes me feel like Christmas when I look at it...so full of love for them. This week at SOUS we used a sketch by Beggahuna...I love her work and I hope you will check out her blog.....click on her name and it will take you there...she is amazing~I used a Christmas paper I had in my stash for the background paper....added a dark green behind and layered paper lace between...I added some poinsettia buttons to each corner.
I made a smaller version of the ACY flower from my PS post and some more of the butterflies in a bronze metallic....I may do a tutorial on these if anyone is interested.
I downloaded the sheet music from Grapicsfairy...her link is on my left column and she has amazing vintage clip art and images free for the taking...check her out too!
My holly is cut from Stretch Your imagination and pop dotted...I added lots of chipboard embellies and used some adhesive tags to hand write my title.
Hop on over to SOUS to see what the other DT members came up with....and come play along!!!

Dazzle*****Second Post Today...Please Scroll Down****
Happy Saturday all!!! This is a pic of Mcauley last winter...he does Dazzle me!!! I love b/w photos and wanted to carry the color theme over to my layout....I cut my paper lace snowflakes by welding them in DS...they are from A Child's Year....
Both of these flowers are from Home Accents...I made them with layers and layers of 2 of the snowflake cuts...added some buttons for center accents...I love the delicate look of these wonderful leaves from Stretch Your Imagination...I cut them and the title from some fab glitter paper I buy at WM.
I added both stardust and silver stickles to add some glitz....
I found these wonderful charms at M's on sale and added some wire twisted into the shape of a little heart.
The circle cut is from Lyrical Letters as is the title....the mat is a card cut from A Child's Year. The butterflies are from Indie Art...both the circle and the butterflies were painted with acrylic metallic silver...found some beautiful glittered branches in the Christmas aisle at WM...also got the buttons there...the snowflake buttons were in the craft aisle and the silver pearl buttons from the sewing section....I also found the black lace with the bling added in their bridal aisle.....hope you like it!!!!

Grammas....just antique little girls
This weeks sketch for the SOUS challenge was provided by the wonderful Aymee Gandy. I wondered across this fantastic pic of my gramma and her brother....the original was not in great shape so I very happy with the one I have been able to copy...not perfect but a treasure to me....it is over 90 years old so I feel very blessed to have run across it.
I decided to frame this layout....I found these fab frames on sale for $4.00 and they are 12x12....a wonderful find. The beautiful hydrangea branch and the bright pink prima were both part of the kit supplied by Kristina at Your Memories Here...hope you'll pop over and check out her sale too....the coupon code is turkey so please pop over and see what fab finds she has to make your projects spectacular.

This close up of the hydrangea branch does not do it justice....it is just stunning....it worked perfectly for my gramma who loved flowers. The butterflies are from Indie Art, accented with pearl paint and stickles. The branches are from Storybook and the background accent cut is from Home Decor.
The primas are so pretty and I love how I was able to use the beautiful minis along with the larger prima....the center is accented with a button. I added some pearl paint to the branches just for fun.
I used a Fiskars border punch to punch up the edges of the photo with some hot pink paper...the flourish is Home Decor and the lace was made with a border from Storybook. I found the little metal catch at the hardware store and knew it would work so well on a layout. I burned the edges of the background paper and added some pages from an old book behind it as well as behind the photo.
I added a little fence from Paperdoll Dress Up and some lace and ribbon along the bottom of the picture. Gramma is cut from Storybook...the rest of the title is computer generated and printed on vellum....I cropped my gramma from the pic and placed her in a K&Co mini frame....I love these little frames. Thanx so much for stopping by....I so appreciate you all!
Please hop over to these blogs.....

Love... the best gift of Christmas..... SOUS Challenge
Happy Friday everyone! Today is reveal day at SOUS and this weeks sketch is a beauty....I chose a picture of my 2 oldest boys from Christmas past...don't they look dapper in their little Christmas coats....so cute. I chose Once Upon a Time DCWV paper for the background and instead of adding another paper I chose a ribbon accent along the side. I made the poinsettia from Lyrical Letters and once again the lovely rose from Home Decor. The snowflakes are from A Child's Year and I purchased the little silver metallic ones. The mat is from A Child's Year with a few pearl paint drops around the edge. I downloaded Away In A Manger sheet music to add behind the pic. Click HERE to go to the site....they have lovely illustrations and I will be using it alot for holiday layouts I'm sure.
These little branches are also from Home Decor and I used my Martha Stewart branch punch to add the greenery.
A few gold and icicle stickles to add some glimmer.
I adore these little K&Co mini frames and they work so well on layouts.... the Love is cut from Home Decor too. Hop on over to SOUS to see what the other DT members created and come have some fun with this wonderful sketch!

Mother Love Envelope Pocket Mini
I found an awesome tute on you tube for this wonderful envelope pocket album and had to try one. I made this for my sis and each tag insert will hold photos. The album is made from plain envelopes covered with paper scraps and embellished. You can find it on you tube by searching for A Piece of Craft....Marion is so very talented. I also plan on doing a tute later because I used so many cricut cuts.....The front has one of the roses made from the Home Decor heart petal flower...I'm loving these...I also added the lock from Indie Art....Mother is from Storybook and love from Home Decor. I've added tons of fiber and ribbon.
On these pages I added some pop outs just for fun...some stickers, another SB border, Indie Art butterfly, silk flowers fiber and ribbon.
