The front of this memory box is embellished with a button closure...Heritage for Memories, offray lace, and some fun beaded trim.
I used my K&C0 Life's Journey stack to create my box...just love those papers! I adore how the postcard paper looks for the expandable sides.
another view....
This pic shows the top inside of the box where I added some lace ribbon and this also gives a view of the dividers and tabs.
I decided I want to embellish my tabs and have not had time to finish them...but did not want to put off this post any longer.
Just some pics of what I have done on the tabs so far. The corner flourish is from my new Heritage cart...this is the first project I've used this wonderful cart on.
Thank you Barb for using vellum for your butterflies...it inspired me to try it again~These are cut from Sentimentals and then the edges are sponged with gold acrylic paint.
The flower was created with several cuts from plantin.
These cuts are also from Heritage....so much fun!
These cuts are also from Heritage....so much fun!
More of the Tim Holtz roses....click HERE to see how fun and easy these are to make....
My larger flower is the Tim flower with the xtra heart cuts from Home Decor as the bottom layer...all on the cut file. The wonderful flourish again Heritage. I am not sure if I want a pic or a quote in the K&Co frame...so it is empty right now.
My pink flowers are accented with Frosted Lace stickles while the newsprint roses have accents of Scattered Straw distress stickles. I also found this fab stem @ M's and knew it had a home on the top of my box.
Here are the cut file links....first time I've done this...hope it works!
Wow! This is a gorgeous project and a awesome cut file to share! You go Sandy! I love this project!
ReplyDeleteOmgosh, Miss Sandy, this is gorgeous! I will have to come back later for the cut file. Looks like this would be a fantastic gift! BTW, I've cut that same tree and it was a booger bear to get off the mat at 3 inches, so I'm impressed! And love the flourish .. gonna have to explore my cart some more!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW! Such a beautiful project and I'm sooo glad I ordered Heritage now! xxD
ReplyDeleteWow Sandy I have been hanging out to see this box after the teaser you posted and it was well worth the wait. I have to try the roses they look gorgeous and far cheaper than prima. Heritage is a cart I am debating, but I think you have just tempted me even more.

Sandy, please forgive me - I called you Judy but meant Sandy - I guess I was so excited about your memory keeper, I just went bananas in the brain. Thank you for the compliments. I love that you don't mind that I made this box so much like yours but I've never seen anything that I loved so much at first sight that I had to have the exact (or very similar) same thing. I'm glad you don't mind scrap lifters. LOL! I cannot do those roses - so once I get that together, I'll have the finished part done (hopefully today) - need a six petal punch. *sigh* I'm just thrilled that you approve, though - thank you so much! YOU really inspire me to go to the next level and it even impressed hubby! ;D
ReplyDeleteOMGOSH Sandy!!!! I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this!!!! Girl it is soooo beautiful soooo you!!!! I HAVE to try this out!!!!
