Intention

Hey all....hope you are having a wonderful Monday. This week at Creative Twist we were challenged to do a project inspired by our birth year.....I was born in 1961 and this is the year construction started on the Berlin Wall. The framed quote is in German and reads...."Nobody has any intention to erect a wall." This was a statement made my Walter Ulbricht the very year construction began on the wall. I feel like I am in a cold war with my x, and my children have all been victims...having to chose sides in order to survive...fully aware that if they tried to cross the wall their father has erected it would surly be devastating...there is certainly a very strong wall in our family right now....thus my title....intention....I truly feel that my x is unable to remember the intention the day we married and love our children more than he hates me...so it was a very therapeutic layout....The papers are K & Co except for the plain card stock...sheet music and wedding certificate...those were downloaded from the Internet as well as the Victorian bride. I beaded some stick pins and added them to the ends of the ribbon. The oval was cut from home decor, glued to the clip art and I also added some pearl paint and stickles to enhance both the frame and the picture. The greenery is from Lyrical Letters.
The mini frame is from K & Co...the butterfly is Home Accents....I added some ribbon and lace as well. The red roses are silk.
This flower was made using the leaf from A Child's Year. I stretched it in DS and then layered the leaves....then chalked and stickled....it was very easy and I am very pleased with the outcome.

The journal tag is cut from Plantin and tucked behind the layout....The marquee is from Storybook. I made a photo corner with a scrap of paper and my Martha Stewart doily punch. You can just barely see the little butterfly in the top right of this pic, there are 3 of them on the layout...very subtle....I made them with some bling and Fiskars Zingz. It is the loveliest layout; how you put everything together and made it look magnificent - I could never do it. But it thrills me to see such beautiful art. I love the butterflies and how you made the flowers. You are such a talented woman. I love the journal - you are true to your soul and that is so becoming. I really enjoy your posts! You are such a unique individual.
