Lisa is one of the most phenomenal paper artists out there in scrapland. I love her work and love to look to her for inspiration. While doing my little blog hop to see what's been up with everyone this am I was so touched by this post I could not help but share it. It's about sharing our gifts and the originality of projects....I hope you will take a look at it. Lisa is a blessing to this scrappy world.
That said....if anyone wants to 'scraplift' anything they see of 'mine' I would be nothing but honored.

Sandy, I read her post and your comment from it. I agree wholeheartedly. I could only wish that someone could or would ask, how or could you show me. What an honor...
ReplyDeleteHello beautiful lady - I read Lisa's post and I am really sorry that there are some scrap artists out there who believe that if they share some of their techniques, it will no longer make them unique. All of us are unique in our own way, that's what makes what we do special. Lisa is right, even if we copied someone's art, it does not take away from what they initially created. In fact, it adds to the beauty around us. At least, that is my opinion. Sandy, you have beautiful work and there is one of your layouts that I would like to use one day. I won't copy it exactly because I could never replicate the magnificent pages you do. But I would certainly like to use your methods. ;~) Thank you for sharing and allowing others to use your gift. You're such a lovely lady that I am so proud to be friends with.
ReplyDeleteI read Lisa's posting and while there are people out there unwilling to share, I am thankful for those that do. The ones that don't have a much bigger problem and it comes from within and they alone have to live with themselves. As mean as what it sounds, I try to stay clear of those people.
ReplyDeleteI went and read her post when you posted this, and I agree wholeheartedly. Most of what I do is inspired in some way by someone else, so of course I put my stuff out there to share and hope someone else finds inspiration. I think the world is a better place if we spread the scrappy love.
