Beautiful Girl

This is one of the few pix I have of myself as a child. We were talking at work today about how we should instill the goodness of who they our into our students...helping them own their value. My generation was not so good at that....the whole being seen and not heard thing. So I looked at this shy little girl and decided I should remind her that she is beautiful...Very few carts and cuts on this one. Storybook for the mats, greenery, bird and girl, Plantin for the flowers and circles and Tink for beautiful. The large circle is cut and laced with ribbon. I have been wanting to try the circle flowers for quite some time. I cut 2 inch circles and then folded them at a angle toward the center and then curled the edges back. I added some gold pearl paint to make the centers and stickled the edges. The white plantin flowers are drawn on the edge with a fine tip pen and the brown flowers in the center have just a quick line of white. Blue bling for the centers of the larger flower, the small flowers have a white pearl paint center and some stickles. The butterflies and the bingo card are downloaded from free images and printed on card stock...stickled and pop dotted the butterflies and added a couple of K & Co floral stickers. There is some paper burning and the frame is embossed with birds and swirls with my CB. Thanx so much for stopping....love your comments!

  1. Hi, Sandy, I couldn't sleep, so got on the computer and made my way to your page. Heehee. Stunning LO and I love all that it means. I've been wanting to try those folded flowers but haven't done it yet. I love that yours are so nice and large. Great photo. Your story makes me feel fortunate that I have quite a few of myself. Course I was the oldest! Off to bed now.

  4. Another beautiful layout! I just love all the detail you put into each page. You are such a thoughtful scrapper. So few of us scrap pages for/about ourselves (I'm guilty). You did a wonderful job with this one.
