Classroom Decor

For those of you who don't know I am an ESOL para at an elementary school working with children K-5.....I work with an amazing teacher....her name is Melinda and she has fabulous ideas and a heart of gold....she and I truly love our students....Hope you enjoy the slide show of our classroom...Melinda and I have had so much fun creating all the wonderful things to make a space students can grow and learn in.
The I am over the door is vinyl, the marker font from pooh font. It has lot of words from various carts surrounding it....the idea is to have the students say I am.....and fill in the blank with a word that creates a since of worth and encourages self esteem....Melinda intends to have them do this each time they leave our classroom....The mirror was created my Melinda and her daughter using vinyl and the Storybook cart....The tree is a replica of a poster by an artist that she admires...Gustav Klimt....she created the trunk freehand with lots of papers from DCWV Once Upon A Time stack to give the mosaic feel....then we cut the branches from Stretch Your imagination....It makes an awesome entrance to our classroom...ESOL on the door is again vinyl in the marker font. The quote.....When words are both true and kind, they can change the world! is cut from Plantin...
Okay my fav....the focal board in the classroom....you see it the second you walk in the room. We saw a post on the cricut MB with the DIVERSITY display and put our twist on it....lots of carts and fun fun papers make it pop. Fonts are from OA, ACY, Plantin, Stone Script, Zoobaloo, SB, Pooh Font....it was so much fun to design and looks fab next to the birthday balloons from ACY...the tags from plantin have the students name and bday surrounding a cupcake with their bday month on it....the metallic hollographic papers make it pop~thanx for stopping by.....
